Bologna finished the season in fifteenth place after the loss to Juventus, but president Joey Saputo doesn't intend to make any radical changes. This is what Saputo had to say about his manager Roberto Donadoni in the post season press conference:"His contract expires in 2018 and I believe it's important to give continuity to the project. We're discussing an extension, we are happy with the manager's work. We talked to the sporting areas about what is needed and on the direction to take but it's not yet time for transfer announcements"
Saputo also talked about Dzemaili who joined the other club he owns, the Montreal Impact:"They are two separate things but if we can work together why not? Dzemaili? He decided to come to MLS now, but he first wanted to prove himself at the highest level at Bologna
