The financial uncertainty brought upon by the COVID19 pandemic has given clubs even more incentive to focus on their youth systems. Barcelona have historically developed many of their champions, and now they are focused on extending Diego Almeida's contract.
The central defender born in 2004 has garnered interests from clubs in France, Germany and England but Barcelona want him to be part of his future. Almeida's agents Rodrigo Messi and Francesco D'Argenio have been in frequent conversations with Barcelona about extending his deal.
