Atletico Madrid's latest offer of €60 million (add-ons included) is not enough to come closer to Fiorentina's asking price. Viola's president Commisso and the club are in fact hopeful to keep the striker at the club and both Fiorentina and Vlahovic's agent demands are getting the deal more and more difficult for Atletico Madrid.
The Colchoneros have then shift their focus on a different target: Matheus Cunha of Hertha Berlin, who won the Olympic gold medal a few weeks ago.
Vlahovic, however, is also in Tottenham's radar, as the Spurs could make an offer similar to the one they submitted to Inter for Lautaro Martinez. Should Tottenham's pursuit of the Serbian prove successfull, Fiorentina could target Gianluca Scamacca, currently at Sassuolo.
The former Genoa player could become Vlahovic's replacement, while the developments of the negotiations between Spurs and Fiorentina could cause a domino effect regarding strikers. Especially Atalanta, with Zapata's situation still locked as the Nerazzurri have not found a suitable replacement yet and do not seem willing to sell their striker with just a few days left until the kick-off of the Serie A season.
