Bryan Cristante faces his most important season to date, after six great months with Atalanta, which culminated with Europa League qualification. Interviewed by l'Eco di Bergamo, Cristante commented: "It's been a great six months. It was a great second part of the season, both in terms of the team, with our return to Europe, and with regards to my own performances. National team? I don't think about it too much. I'd like to play as much as possible and do my best. We know Europe will be tough, but we'll try to pass the group stages."
And in that regard, Alejandro Gomez's will to stay in Bergamo should be crucial: "He's the captain, the man who can always make a difference, who can go past his man and who always gives it his all: his contract renewal is very important for the environment and for us teammates."
The ex-Milan man closed his interview with a brief prediction on the upcoming season: "After all these years of dominance and a UCL final, Juventus are still favourites. But other teams are strengthening, and I think that Serie A will surprise many. Milan? I don't know if they can be scudetto contenders, but they're creating a great team. Let's see what happens."
