Despite some stellar performances these past years with the Inter jersey, and a ton of goals (17 this season already), it wasn’t enough for Icardi to get a spot on the Argentine national team. Once again he was excluded from the National call-ups in which current coach Bauza continues to prefer Gonzalo Higuain and Lucas Pratto.
Ahead of the matches with Chile and Bolivia, Gauza spoke about the Icardi situation: “There’s a lot of journalists bothering me about Icardi. For now he hasn’t been called up, when something will happen to Higuain or Pratto, I’ll give him a call”.
