Steven NZonzi is amongst the Roma players frozen out of Mourinho's squad after returning from his loan at Rennes. The French midfielder has one year left on his deal with the giallorossi and is now a target for Al Rayyan.
The Qatari club recently signed James Rodriguez and are now serious about signing NZonzi who is expected to arrive in Qatar tomorrow alongside his father.
While the agreement has yet to be reached, there is optimism, the parties have until Thursday September 30th to close the deal since the transfer window ends in Qatar at end of the month.
