At the end of the Globe Soccer Awards, speaking to Sky Sport 24, Walter Zenga revealed some details about his time at Sampdoria and discussed Inter: "At Sampdoria there were certain conditions that were impossible to manage, there was a particular atmosphere. There was a president who had been a president for a very short amount of time, now he is rightfully defending Giampaolo's project and things are going better". Zenga once again discussed his beloved Inter: "There has never been a chance for me to go to Inter. I said Samp was my point of destination because I knew Inter would no longer be part of my life. For the future as well? Yes 100%"
