Interview by Alberto Trovamala
There is certainly a connection to Italy when you make it to Watford's training ground between Behrami, Niang, Britos, Okaka and manager Walter Mazzarri. In an exclusive interview to GianlucaDiMarzio.com Valon Behrami described how the former Napoli manager has adapated to the Premier League: "He's entering into the English mentality, he's giving us his style of play. His only issue isn't what happens on the pitch but rather communication, he's doing all he can to learn but it's not easy. The players and his assistants are trying to help him, he needs to improve. On the pitch he works so much, more than managers in the Premier League. He gave us a style of play, it's too bad we had a few injuries too many. It's been a good season, both the players and the coach are improving. Those of us who come from Serie A have a football mentality and similar lifestyles, we always organize activities for our kids".
Behrami described the team's pre match rituals:"Here you start to feel the tension ten minutes before the match starts when the stadium fills up. In the locker room the rule is to have loud music before the game, since Mazzarri wasn't used to it he was surprised and asked us "Is this a party?"
