After the incident in which 50 fans entered the training grounds and attacked the players of Sporting - with many players rescinding their contract - Siniša Mihajlović was named as the next coach in line to attempt to carry the Portuguese team back to success - a coaching experience outside of Italy for the Serbian.
As Rui Patrício has left for Premier league side Wolverhampton, the goalkeeping position is vacant and the coach now looks back towards Sampdoria in Italy, for Emiliano Viviano. The current blucerchiato keeper is indeed on the top of Mihajlović's list, and a meeting with the Portuguese club will soon be scheduled. Viviano left for Portugal and will land in Lisbon at 5 pm today - the goalkeeper will then wait to hear the proposal from Sporting.
