Verona and Fiorentina are discussing two possible deals that could be concluded before the end of the January transfer window. While the negotiations for Christian Kouamè continue, the two clubs are confident that they can reach an agreement for the transfer of midfielder Alfred Duncan from the Viola to Verona.
Juric's club was hopeful they could jump ahead of the host of clubs - Bologna, Torino, Cagliari - that are competing for the signature of the Ghanaian and conclude the deal today, especially after Miguel Veloso's injury. However, the parties are yet to reach an agreement, with the Gialloblu also considering other options such as Sassuolo's Mehdi Bourabia, who is also a target for other Serie A clubs.
In the last few hours, Cagliari have tried to join the race to sign Duncan as coach Eusebio Di Francesco has already coached the midfielder and would like to add a player with his characteristics to his team. Should they fail in their pursuit of Duncan, Cagliari have already made an inquiry with Fiorentina for Erick Pulgar, however the Viola have no intention of selling the Chilean as of yet.
