During the international break, multiple Serie A teams seeked help at the keeper position. After Spezia veered on former Roma backstop Mirante, Venezia are now set to welcome Sergio Romero.
Romero was originally the alternative to Mirante for Spezia, but now the former Manchester United keeper is set to join Venezia, where he will play for manager Zanetti.
Romero is a free agent ever since his contract with the Red Devils expired last summer, he did previously play in Serie A for Sampdoria where he appeared in 42 matches.
