After a difficult season at Milan, Pippo Inzaghi has triumphed at Venezia by getting his club promoted to Serie B after a twelve year wait and winning the Lega Pro's Coppa Italia. The former striker talked to Gazzetta dello Sport about how Allegri inspired him:"I must confess something: at Venezia I showed videos of Mandzukic and Juventus's compactness in defensive phase. It's not a coincidece they only gave up nine goals in away matches, the least in all of Europe. Could I have worked as hard as Mandzukic? I couldn't have, I didn't have the body for it. But I had other qualities"
Inzaghi also spoke about his difficulties at Milan:"I never lost my strength and convictions. We know of the problems there were there, no one did better there despite spending one hundred million or with a better squad. I think I'm an honest person, with passion, prepared and informed. I work twenty hours a day to give my players the right information
