Kevin Prince Boateng's transfer from Sassuolo to Barcelona in January of 2019 is certainly one of the most surprising moves in recent years, but turns out it almost never happened. In fact the blaugrana had previously tried to acquire Carlos Vela, a fact the striker recently revealed in a recent interview with GQ Mexico:"Barcelona offered me a four month contact and I accepted, it was an excellent opportunity for me. However Los Angeles FC didn't give me permission to leave, it was understandable: everyone thinks about what is best for them. I tried, it didn't happen but that is okay since I'm happy here"
