In the pre-match press conference of Valencia-Leganes in the Copa Del Rey, Cesare Prandelli spoke about the tough situation his club is in and the transfer window: "When I went to Singapore I told Lim about everything i've witnessed during these 4 months. The ownership knows what I think. During the meeting I requested 4 players to start a new project, we'll see if we are able to sign them in January. Maksimovic from Astana? He's one of the many profiles we are looking at for January. Zaza? I know him very well and he could be rather important for us. Its something the club will take care of".
To finish things off Prandelli discussed an incident which saw Parejo in a club clearly drunk: "I haven't called him up, we will sanction him. What he did doesn't concern me, because he messed up. I'm worried about his image".
