Udinese and Chievo in a tight race to hire Sporting Director Romairone

Giancarlo Romairone is quickly becoming a sought after sporting director. Two Serie A clubs Udinese and Chievo have been linked with the Carpi sporting director. Before any deals are made Romairone and his club are focused solely on the playoff final for promotion to Serie A. Both clubs have made contact with Romairone. Chievo were first on the scene already having identified Romairone to join management. They are facing stiff competition from the Friuli club though. Both would be an excellent opportunity for Romairone as both clubs look to finish in the top half of Italy's top flight. One thing is for sure, before any pen is put to paper Romairone will need to see how his club will perform over the next week, with the hope that Carpi can make their awaited return to the Serie A
