It was a good thing that they packed their bags before their match against France. The Italy U-20 team qualified for their first ever semifinal at the U-20 World Cup courtesy of a 3-2 after extra time victory against Zambia. It was a heroic win especially because they were down to 10 men from 43rd minute after the unjustified expulsion of Pezzella that was sanctioned by the VAR. It was Riccardo Orsolini who started the comeback by scoring his fourth consecutive goal at the U-20 World Cup, tying Graziano Pellè's record. Federico Dimarco scored an exquisite free-kick to tie it up at 2-2 and then Vido scored in the 111th minute to secure the 3-2 win. Their next opponent will be against the England U-20 team. Maybe it was good luck that they had already packed their bags...
