Fiorentina are not the only club interested in signing VfB Stuttgart's forward Nico Gonzalez, as Tottenham have joined the Viola in the race to sign the Argentinian.
Gonzalez has been in Spurs' radar since Mourinho was in charge and things do not seem to have changed now that Paratici is set to take the job as new technical director, as Tottenham are pondering to submit an official bid for the 23-year-old.
Tottenham are aware that Stuttgart would accept a bid for the player of €25 million plus add-ons, while Fiorentina have already made a bid for the player of €22 million plus three more additional million in add-ons.
Early next week will be a decisive moment for the outcome of the deal, as it remains to be seen if Fiorentina will make one last effort to land Gonzalez's signature or if Stuttgart will receive a higher offer from the Premier League club.
