Toronto complete signing of van der Wiel from Cagliari: the official statement

Gregory van der Wiel leaves Serie A and Cagliari after just six months and joins MLS side of Toronto. The signing of the Dutch right-back has been officially announced by the MLS club on their official website: "Toronto FC announced Thursday that the club has signed Dutch international defender Gregory van der Wiel after reaching a transfer agreement with Italian Serie A club Cagliari". Toronto general manager Tim Bezbatchenko also welcomed van der Wiel to the club: "Gregory will be a welcomed addition to our club as we continue to strive to improve as a team.”
