There is no movement on the horizon for Torino's January transfer window, but the opportunities have been monitored. Sporting Director Gianluca Petrachi spoke to the press, confirming Belotti's permanence with the granata squad.
"We've always said it, Torino is a team that still needs to show some of their players. There are 24 players, all potential starters, and I find it difficult to think that someone stronger than our current players would arrive in this January market. Yes, there will be occasions where I consider something, but we all know that you need to spend a lot in the January market and there's the risk that the players struggle to insert themselves."
And on Belotti? Petrachi was clear that there was something. In the past weeks, there was progress with West Ham, but Petrachi would neither confirm or deny. "If we had wanted to, we could have advanced some discussions with a few clubs. Belotti was wanted by a club whose name I will not reveal. There were offers with important money tied to them, but the president stopped every discussion."
