It has not been a great Champions League campaign for Atalanta. Regardless, they are keeping their heads up and are looking for their first points in the competition when they face Manchester City tomorrow at the San Siro in Milan. Their coach, Gasperini, had this to say ahead of the challenge: "the game tomorrow evening represents an opportunity, we know that with a positive result we can still be in the fight to make it out of the group, or even for third place. The difficulty barometer is very high, but we start at 0-0. It's right to think about taking points. City wants to close the qualification, they are used to playing at these very high levels."
The coach says that the team will stay true to their playing style against Manchester City: "We play like this, we aren't capable of playing with everyone behind the ball. We arrived here thanks to our characteristics and we want to show them until the end. No one wants to give up a lot of goals, but we want to maintain our mentality. San Siro is a presitigious stadium, known throughout the world, it's fanastic to play the Champions League here. We would have preferred to play in Bergamo, but it wasn't possible. There couldn't be a better alternative though."
