When the season restarts, his Lazio will face Bologna. Present and past will collide for Igli Tare. The sporting director of the biancoceleste wore the rossoblu jersey for two years (2003-05), and today he was interviewed by Corriere di Bologna. Past, present, and future, he revealed interesting connections between Lazio and Bologna: "We were ready to bring Donadoni to Lazio two years ago. We talked with him for a long time. He made a good impression: he's a man of few words, but is very concrete. We also spoke with Allegri, who I think is the best Italian coach, but then we veered to other names and ultimately chose Pioli. Why Pioli? He quickly agreed with our idea of football."
Bologna for Tare also represents relegation, which he experienced in 2005. The Albanian scored the winning goal in the first leg of the salvation playoff against Parma. Tare remembered these moments: "The people of Bologna have never felt hostile towards me, even though relegation was partly my fault. Obviously I wasn't the only one responsible."
