It's now official, Andrea Stramaccioni isn't Sparta Prague's coach anymore. After the disagreements in the last weeks, the official statement has arrived confirming the last rumors. After the meeting this morning, the Italian coach hasn't accepted to let the sporting director helping him in his bench job. The former Inter and Udinese coach's contract would have ended in June 2019.

This is the club's note: "Sparta has decided to exonerate coach Andrea Stramaccioni after a disappointing start of the second part of the season and in general, the bad results of last year. Stramaccioni won't coach the team anymore as it's been decided by the club and management. The decision is effective immediately. We'll be looking for a new coach as the club intends on getting him as soon as possible to lead the next training session". In the end, Sparta denies Zdeněk Ščasný, current sporting director, will be the new coach as he'll remain a staff member.

"I thank the President's efforts but after the last events it was impossible to continue" has declared Stramaccioni after his second experience abroad after Panathinaikos, leaving his team fifth in the league.
