SPAL is making a change on their bench. After the fatal defeat at home against Sassuolo, the club decided to sack Leonardo Semplici. The Tuscan manager will be officially fired in the next hours, with Gigi Di Biagio ready to take over his role as manager.
The former CT of the Under 21 squad is the preferred choice to replace Semplici, and his arrival is already expected this evening in Ferrara. He should manage his first training session tomorrow afternoon, after signing a contract until June 30, 2020, with the option of renewal in case of the team avoiding relegation.
