Spain, Iniesta: "I hope my last match with the national team comes in the World Cup final"

After a career with Spain that came with key roles in three major trophies, Andres Iniesta could be taking part in his last World Cup in 2018, at age 33. In an interview with El Larguero, Iniesta shared his dream for the tournament: "I believe that my parenthesis will be closed with Spain in Russia. I don't want to continue to be called up just for what I used to be. Would I choose a Spain-Argentina final? I don't know, the only thing I hope is that my last match with the national team comes in the World Cup final."
