Originally from Sardinia, Gianni Fenu is a masseur who first with Pellè and now with Gabbiadini, has been representing Italy in England. Fenu took a risk by leaving Italy for Germany 28 years ago, in an adventure that has led to his current life as masseur for Southampton. Here is what he had to say about Gabbiadini’s phenomenal start:
“English? Lets say he kind of speaks it. Other than that he’s managed to fit perfectly in this new environment. I tried to help him as best I could by explaining a few things about the club. Usually I prefer to stay on the sidelines and allow the newcomers to bond with team. His great start helped his transition. He’s already an idol in Southampton. The club runs smoothly both economically, but also in terms of infrastructure, renovated not long ago. The fans are extremely passionate but at the same time they let you walk around the city without added pressure, even through tough results. It’s also thanks to Manolo that the club is growing along with the fans. This is the ideal environment to express ones full potential”.
