Sevilla currently sits in first place with ten points as Juventus attempts to surpass them in the standings tomorrow when the two teams meet. Sevilla’s manager, Jorge Sampaoli, recently spoke in a press conference: “we approach each game as if we are favorites, and therefore, we will not settle for a draw. Juventus is a strong team so we must attempt to contain them. They are a team which is capable of changing their formation even though they currently have some injured players. They may use a backline with three players. We are aware that they are a fast and dangerous team. If we do not impose our style of play on them, it will not be a simple game. At Turin we attempted to neutralize their attack. Tomorrow this must change as we cannot concede in our home stadium. If you leave space, Juve will hurt you. The game will last 90’, and even players who enter the match as substitutes can have an important impact. Juve without Higuain and Dybala? They have one of the best squads in the world. They can play with three attacking players or just one striker. Qualification? Juventus will have to play a decisive match against an eliminated team, and if we lose tomorrow, we would find ourselves in a delicate position. Therefore, we will have more pressure. The objective is to celebrate qualification and a first place finish tomorrow.”

Sevilla defender, Sergio Escudero, also spoke alongside his coach: “the match tomorrow will be a fantastic event. Our objective is to get the three points because we desire first place and a tie is not enough. We will play an important match and will give our best. This is no different than any other game; we want to maintain our style of play. Our objective in the Champions League? It is one of the most important competitions. Arriving at the quarterfinals is difficult, but I would be very happy if we managed to go that far. However, we must focus on always working hard. We are convinced that we can beat anyone. Juventus is a strong team but we can win any game.”
