Spanish wing-back Aleix Vidal is not enjoying his best season at Sevilla, after returning to the Andalusian city from Barcelona last summer. The Spaniard has been struggling to get some playing time , but things could have been different for him had he joined Roma in the summer as he was rumoured to.
"It's been a tough year for me so far, I have never had so many injuries before. - revealed Vidal to SFC TV - When I was in Barcelona, Monchi wanted me to sign at Roma. But Barça had a transfer ban and I wanted to stay there".
The wing-back was also asked about his relationship with Monchi, who recently returned to Sevilla after his stint in the Italian capital: "We talked, we always do. He imparts positive feelings and calmness. We are very happy to have him back".
