Few transfers this summer were as surprising as Lasse Schone joining Genoa. The Danish midfielder had previously played in the Champions League semifinal and won the Dutch league, but he now finds himself on Andreazzoli’s squad. Schone discussed his decision in an interview with Ajax Showtime:”I didn’t expect to leave Ajax. I looked around to see if there was the right challenge. Right from the start Genoa gave me good vibes. My wife and I think Italy is a great country, we have been there on vacation often and we found a marvelous country”
Schone described what it’s like to play in Italy:”Playing in Serie A is an advantage, at the beginning it wasn’t easy, but once I got used to the idea it was very beautiful. So far I’m very comfortable here. I’m certain I’ll go back to the Netherlands but the time had come to find a new challenge”.
