Sassuolo director Carnevali:”Berardi is off the market, we decided together”

The rivalry between Juventus and Inter continues on the transfer market with Domenico Berardi as the prize. The striker's current club Sassuolo is benefitting from the two clubs' tug of war, since Berardi's value goes up and they will get to keep him for another season. This is what Sassuolo's sporting director Giovanni Carnevali had to say about the situation in an interview to fcinter1908.it:"Berardi will stay at Sassuolo, the player decided this with us. No one else is involved. I'my surprised by all the controversy that only disturbs our club. I have an excellent relationship with Inter. I say this because I hear about offers that were never received. Berardi's manager talked about them, and because of our excellent relationship with the club I imagine they didn't go talk to the player rather than us. He's off the market, it's a situation that was decided twenty days ago. Berardi came to us and told us he wanted to stay at Sassuolo. I want to also state that the player never refused Juventus. He simply expressed the desire to stay with us"
