Sassuolo, club eye Milan's Paletta as Cannavaro's replacement in January: the situation

Sassuolo are looking for a defender as a replacement for Paolo Cannavaro, who is thinking about retiring from football and join his brother Fabio in China in January. The latest idea for the Neroverdi's defence is Milan's Gabriel Paletta, who made only three appeareances this season with Milan's youth team. Despite not playing much, Paletta is still not sure about leaving the Rossoneri, as he hopes to get more playing time with the new coach Gattuso. Paletta's high salary and some offers from Turkish clubs make this deal difficult to happen in January, but Sassuolo's football director Carnevali will try and find a solution in the coming weeks to make this deal go trough and boost Iachini's defence.
