While Sassuolo did lose Locatelli and Caputo last summer, they were able to hold on to key players like Boga and Berardi. The neroverdi intend to continue holding on to their best players in the upcoming transfer window in January including their young strikers Raspadori and Scamacca.
Sassuolo's sporting director Carnevali addressed his two jewels' future in a recent interview:"We never opened to the possibility of selling Raspadori and Scamacca, we never opened a negotiation to do so. Raspadori for us is an important player, it's true there was interest, but our will is to keep him and Scamacca. We even sold Caputo to open playing time for them"
Carnevali went on:"Raspadori is a player of big quality, both from sporting and human side. He is young and needs to continue on his journey, we need to give him time and mature"
