Despite the pressure applied by Roma to acquire Grégoire Defrel, Sassuolo holds their ground, like they have been for the entirety of this transfer window. Confirming this is the clubs CEO, Giovanni Carnevali, who said this in regards to the situation: “Roma hasn’t made any offer for Defrel. The player wants to leave? He needs to get used to the fact that we have no intentions of selling any of our big players. We need to buy, not sell”.
