The career in Italy for Brazilian talent Gabigol was short-lived, after struggling at Inter in his first turn in European football, the striker was then sent on loan, first to Benfica, and then to Santos. Back in Brazil, Gabigol has been thriving, and the 1996-born player spoke with FcInterNews about the reasons for his success: "I am playing with regularity, I feel the trust of the coach and this allows me to perform my best, despite a season with more lows than highs. Europe allowed me to grow a lot, as a player and as a man. I am very much tied to Inter, I follow them on TV ofter and I would like to return to play there, sooner or later. I want redemption. But these are conversations for the future." Gabigol is set to remain on loan at Santos through December 2018.
