Will Lucas Torreira leave Sampdoria in January? His agent Pablo Betancur, as reported by a few newspapers, he announced the will of the 20 year old to leave Genoa next month. Samp decided to openly counter these claims with an announcement on the club's official site:
"Regarding the news published by several papers, U.C. Sampdoria underlines that there is no issues with Lucas Torreira and would like to remind that the player has a contract until the 30th of June 2020, which was made in the pursuit of a project that aims to grow and better the player, programmed when he was making his first apppearances in Serie B.
Considering how much he has grown, thanks to those who so much believed in him, we have offered him an economic adjustement to his contract. The relationship with the player is excellent and very correct".
