Following the injury to Manolo Gabbiadini, Sampdoria decided to make a move at the striker position. The blucerchiati are in fact on the verge of signing Sebastian Giovinco who has been training with Toronto FC ever since his contract with Al-Hilal expired.
Giovinco left last night from Canada to head to Genova to sign a six month deal to join Giampaolo's squad. The former Parma's striker's agent Andrea Cattoli worked out the deal which will give Sampdoria a replacement for Gabbiadini, who is expected to miss a significant amount of time.
