Sampdoria are set to bring in a new young reinforcement to their squad. The Blucerchiati have in fact closed a deal for Boca Juniors' midfielder Gonzalo Maroni, born in 1999, who spent last season on loan to Talleres. The two clubs have reached a total agreement on the basis of a loan (with loan fee) plus an option to buy set at €15 million and only the last paperworks exchange is missing before the deal is made official.
Maroni had been also targeted by Milan a year and a half ago and has been part of Argentina's U20 squad list for the World Cup currently taking place in Poland.
