After drawing Roma, Sampdoria has suffered another defeat at the hands of Bologna. Sampdoria manager Claudio Ranieri spoke to the press after the loss.
"In football, you win and you lose. It's part of the game. It's unfortunate, though, when matches are like this. Bologna believed in themselves until the end, we tried to resolve the match with individuals rather than the group. We allowed our opponents to own the pitch in the first half, messing up some passes and leaving space for their counter attacks. We allowed them to gain confidence, then we were able to react well to falling behind. A little bit more attention on Bani's goal would have been enough."
"Bertolacci? He hasn't played in a year and a half. After the Roma match, I wasn't sure if I should start him from the 1'. Then Ekdal had an injury, I couldn't risk him. Quagliarella? He's worked a lot, if he continues like this, goals will certainly arrive."
