At the inauguration of the field dedicated to Riccardo Garrone at Sampdoria's Bogliasco Academy, president Massimo Ferrero spoke about his club, especially the transfer market and his coach, Giampaolo:

Giampaolo doesn't need to be afraid that the transfer market is approaching, he should only be afraid of monsters. Will I offer him a five year contract? -- referring to Giampaolo's comment yesterday in his press conference -- He knows already that he's a part of the Samp family, since besides being a terrific coach he's a great employee, a football professional, and a great man. As has been said, this is the third year I've been here, enough. Those who want to understand will understand."
