Sampdoria manager Marco Giampaolo spoke to Sky Sport after the 1-1 draw in the Derby della Lanterna: "Quagliarella knows how to play in big games. He knows how to take responsibility in these situations. Barretto and Linetty, who were out, would have been useful in this game. Playing with Saponara and two strikers was a risk, but, in the end, we held strong."
