Following Adrien Silva's departure after he rescinded his contract, Sampdoria are focused on bringing in a new midfielder for D'Aversa's squad- their top choice is Tomas Rincon.
Sampdoria also considered Baselli and Villar, but today they made progress on the Rincon front- they are now negotiating the final details of the agreement with Torino. Rincon is then expected to sign a contract until the end of the season with Sampdoria before deciding his future in the summer.
