"Back in 2011's summer I called him to convince him to come to PSV. He already impressed me when he played for Utrecht and I was looking for players with his profile even if Dries surprised me in another aspect". Fred Rutten has given an interview to Il Mattino: "He's an amazing person who's always smiling and ready to listen in order to improve. After every game we got alone and watched what happened during the game: that way he learned to improve his movements but also his shooting skills. Before he got to PSV he never scored more than 10 goals. When I coached him he got to 21. He's a great set-piece taker as well in my opinion, always has been my first choice".
About how he plays under Sarri's orders: "I've been surprised about how much he scored as a striker. I didn't expect as much. You can see he learned his movements with Sarri and that's been decisive. He can play in every position upfront, he's a complete forward and all that is because of his work. He's always trained seriously".
About Napoli? "It's one of the best European teams at the moment. They haven't changed anything this year and that's a good thing. Napoli play in a way that makes you love this game and they can now try to win the league". He also thinks the bad start in Champions League isn't a problem: "You can lose to an expert side like Shakhtar are. I honestly think Napoli could have his word to say and make a few rounds in Champions League".
"Napoli are clearly the favorite in this groupe. It's true Feyenoord can surprise though, as they did last year in Europa League, winning against Manchester United".
