The Rules:
First place finishers in each of the 9 groups and 4 teams via the playoff round qualify for the Russia 2018 World Cup. Only the eight best second placed are judged on their record against the first, third, fourth and fifth placed teams in their respective group. Also, the FIFA Rankings will be taken into account when they preform the draw (the new FIFA Rankings will be released on October 16 and the draw will be held on October 17 in Zurich).
The playoffs will be held in November and there will be seeded and non-seeded teams based on the FIFA Rankings.

Portugal - 18 points in 7 games
Denmark- 14 points in 8 games
Italy - 14 points in 7 games
Sweden 13 points in 7 games
Greece -13 points in 8 games
Slovakia -12 points in 8 games
Wales -11 points in 7 games with +2 GD and 7 GS
Croatia is provisionally out of the playoff round with 11 points in 7 games with a +2 GD and 6 GS. If Italy wins against Albania, they would be seeded for the playoff draw.
