After finishing in third place last season which qualified them for preliminary round of the Champions League, Roma is now focused on the summer transfer period. With Rudiger's recent knee injury, the giallorossi are looking for a center back- they were recently offered Nikolas N'Koulou, a player born in 1990 whose contract with Marseille is set to expire on June 30th.
Roma is considering signing the center back, a big factor is that N'Koulou has a French passport so he isn't considered a non EU player despite being from Cameroon. Roma now needs to be satisfied with his phsycal condition before adding him to Spalletti's squad, the current coach will also have to agree to the move as well.
