Roma great Francesco Totti has appeared on I Signori del Calcio on Sky Sport, where he spoke about an array of topics. The first being his relationship with former manager Luciano Spalletti, "I never had a confrontation with him and I probably never will. It would have been better to close in a different way. In his place I would have managed the the player, and above all the person, differently, I would have confronted him. Leaving Roma? There was an concrete offer to leave Roma for Real Madrid in 2004. I made the choice to give up the possibility of winning a lot of titles to always wear this shirt, which for me was the most important thing. At the end I received love and passion, which for me was more important than winning trophies elsewhere. For Roma I gave 101%, because I put Roma in front of everything. Ballon d'Or? When playing for Roma I knew that I would have less of a chance in respect to others who played for Real Madrid, Juventus, Milan... it is one thing I feel that I'm missing. The market? If it was up to me I would spend any money to buy the strongest players, also because to win you need certain profiles. It is not for me to allocate money, however, it is the president who decides. The president will set a budget and that budget will need to be good to build a team. With the actual market figures I would cost 200 million."
