Lasted for about 30 minutes in Milan-Roma, Kevin Strootman had to leave the field due to injury and war replaced by Lorenzo Pellegrini. The Dutch midfielder suffered a heavy contusion on the inside of his right thigh after being kneed by Borini in the first half.

Roma made the player undergo medical exams at Trigoria and reached a deal with the Dutch national team: Strootman will be monitored for the next 2 or 3 days to implement a physio plan. On Wednesday, the midfielder will undergo new medical exams to evaluate his condition and to decide to send him to his national team or to hold him back at Trigoria to help him recover for the game against Napoli on October 14.
