Roma has officially announced that Strootman will renew his contract. The club released the following statement, "Roma is happy to announce that Kevin Strootman has renewed his contract until June 30th 2022." Shortly following the signing of his new contract, Strootman had the following to say, "I want to win something here and will do everything to make this possible. All of Rome helped me during my injury. This is another reason for why I am happy to stay.
