Spalletti recently spoke to the press about Roma's upcoming match in the Europa League against Lyon: "Against Juventus they played two great matches. The overall quality of Ligue 1 has improved since we met them last time. At the time there was only Lyon, but now there is PSG, Nice, and Monaco. It will be fundamental to not play with an open field given the speed which they possess upfront. Lacazette is a player who manages to best utilize his qualities. We will give it our all without any reservations. Having mental freshness is more important than being physically rested."
On Roma's current form: "We played against two very strong teams. We made some mistakes, but we remained in the game. If we were lucky in other circumstances, things went badly on those two occasions. I am confident in the capabilities of my players."
Nainggolan also spoke in the pre-match press conference: "It is normal to be criticized when things do not go well, but in the end, we only lost two matches. We are playing a great season, and have the opportunity to do well in every competition we are participating in. Of course, it hurts to lose, but now it is up to us to demonstrate that we can do better. My future? I only think to do well as I always have. I feel good here, and I am happy. I enjoy playing for Roma, and then we will see what my future holds."
