Roma, Spalletti: ‘Now we’re more of a team. Injuries? The show must go on’

Luciano Spalletti appeared satisfied as he spoke to Sky Sport about the Roma win against Austria Wien:

‘We showed we can adapt, we entered the game with the right approach despite that initial goal conceded. They had good players, but our defensive line was solid. Their first goal was due to a great play done at high speed, the second came when the game was virtually over. Either way we shouldn’t have conceded it. We had a moment of relaxation. These types of things should bother us, we should be furious about having conceded such a goal’.

Spalletti talks about the positives that can be taken away from the game: ‘I think the team has shown an improvement in terms of mentality and character. We have a ton of injuries right now, but we still have to win our matches. The show must go on. Even though the yellow card influenced him, De Rossi played a good game. The team in general is improving, but that second goal is unacceptable. These wins give morale, but to say that we’re completely healed is something I don’t feel comfortable with’.
