After the initial contacts held earlier today between Shanghai Shenhua, Roma and Stephan El Shaarawy, the Chinese clubs has been in talks with the Italian striker's entourage. Shanghai has submitted an improved offer to the former Milan player, offering him a 3-year-deal with wages set at 16 million per year (as opposed to the 12 million of the previuos offer).
The player is pondering the possibility to go to Asia but he also wants to evaluate the financial aspects of the deal and whether he will receive a sign-on bonus. In the meanwhile, he has already asked for information about the club to Shanghai player Fredy Guarin, through the Colombian's ex teammate Juan Jesus.
The contacts between the parties involved will continue in the coming days, as there's still a significant gap between the Giallorossi's asking price of 20 million and the Chinese club's offer of 10 million. However, as soon as El Sharaawy will agree to a move to Shanghai, the two clubs will work on reaching a final agreement.
