His transfer to Roma has been part of one of the longest mercato sagas of last summer and, after some injury, Patrik Schick is now ready to show his qualities with a Giallorossi's shirt. In an interview with Sky Sport 24, the Czech striker, discussed his debut from the first minute aganst Chievo and his first few months with Roma: "The last time I had played a full game was in June, so I was happy to start against Chievo. I have to get completely fit again, but I'm improving a lot. It isn't an easy task when you haven't been able to play for two months, but I'm on the right path. My toughest moment so far? When I got injuried. While my best moment was when I arrived in Rome for the first time, there were so many fans waiting for me, it was amazing. Being the most expensive player in club's history is not a burden, it motivates me. I am doing the best I can to not disappoint anyone. I came here because I believe in our coach and in the path that the club is taking, we can win the Scudetto and that is our goal. Personally, I am a striker so when I play I always want to score goals".
